Having the passion and perseverance to work as a successful, mentally healthy teacher long-term despite struggles or set backs is called grit. Grit is associated with higher levels of achievement, resilience, and wellbeing and it’s essential for teachers. Come learn how to cultivate more grit for yourself and fellow teachers by connecting with your purpose for teaching, practicing your growth mindset, practicing self-compassion, avoiding ‘stupid grit’, and leveraging social emotions.
