What is scientific literacy? How do scientists arrive at Truth? Is all evidence equal? And how much should non-scientists care? In the era of post-truth where it sometimes seems the facts don't matter these questions and many others deserve careful consideration and discussion. In this session Ian will challenge you to think about how we can and should develop scientific literacy. Learn the current state of research regarding scientific literacy and explore practical, hands on methods to encourage students to become critical, independent thinkers.
