"What are you going to do after graduation?" An increasing number of young folks are rejecting conventional notions of career, and some are simply doing what their parents and peers would call 'nothing'. Mental illness is often the cause; some young folks don't know how to be courageous. Some young people see no meaning in the 'adult' routine. The reasons vary. Conventional asset-inventory and aptitude-testing methods of career counselling often fizzle with unwell teens. This session presents a meaning-based model grounded in adventure and risk-taking to help young folks harness their innate vibrancy and spirit to launch a meaningful and joyful life. Session participants will receive replicable worksheets and ideas for activities to foster boldness in future-thinking. This session is designed for School Counsellors, CALM teachers, Career Practitioners, and everyone else.
