This three-hour, hands-on workshop will guide you through a mixed-media and cross -curricular creative writing and art making experience. This workshop is deeply rooted and inspired by FNMI ways of knowing and being and is inspired by the book "Sometimes I feel like a Fox" that shares the Anishinaabe tradition of totem animals, written and illustrated by Canadian artist and author Danielle Daniel. Participants will be led through various art making and creative writing techniques and will leave energized and confident in sharing this artistic experience with classes of all ages. Come prepared to paint, bead, embroider and write - oh yeah, and have a fabulous time doing so! This workshop can be tailored to fit all ages.
