Make Music Matter in the Content Areas

Music can be an engaging way to scaffold, reinforce, and explicitly teach grade level standards. This workshop will present a variety of strategies for Kindergarten through Middle School content which include grammar, writing, reading process, mathematics, and vocabulary. Not only does music offer scaffolds for learning concepts, it also lowers affect that can ease anxiety for all learning styles. This session will also offer creative opportunities for your students to explore creating music which can be used for fluency applications, providing an integrated approach to learning.
