How does one integrate quality lead up games into a sport based PE program? This interactive session will allow you to brush up on your understanding of the Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) framework (whose main purpose is to encourage learners to construct meaning from the situations in which they are placed), all while integrating games and play into your programming. Play is foundational to the TGfU framework and is essential to student development contributing to the cognitive, physical, social and emotional wellbeing of children and youth. Come ready to sweat and learn how to integrate games play theory into your physical education classes.
