Stepping away from a formalized Character Education Program, Rebecca and Kristin share their kindness and empathy explorations with students in a Division One and Division Two setting. Discussions in this session will include examples and reflections on: kindness projects and initiatives in the school and greater communities, embedding kindness in classroom language and building a community of learners who are engaged in creating a kind, and mutually respectful classroom environment. Recommended books and resources will also be showcased. This workshop expands upon the 21 Day Kindness Project GETCA Workshop, presented at the 2019 Conference.
