I will discuss useful strategies to encourage counting and the early numeracy skills necessary for young children, leading to their success with additive thinking. I will also help teachers to know what to look for when observing students counting and how to move their students through developmentally appropriate progressions. Teachers will leave this session with many ideas and activities to use in their classrooms.
