Participants will learn about a number of Indigenous games: their history, the materials used, scoring systems and their application to mathematics (probability, patterns, data management) and the connection of Indigenous games to modern day games. There will also be an opportunity to play some of the games and create materials. Participants will then be able to use the games to further numeracy and literacy concepts in their classes.
