New teachers are often thrown into the deep end when they first start teaching. Other terms like trial by fire and sink or swim are also terms used to describe the experiences of new teachers. This session is aimed at new teachers to give them some time and support to learn about some of the more important but less talked about aspects of their new careers. Topics will range from Health and Wellness, Financial Planning, Health Benefits, Communication Skills, Rights and Responsibilities, Effective Practices, Work/Life Balance and more. This session should build your confidence about the rules, rights, and strategies you can employ to help you thrive in your first few years as a new teacher.
