Play on Words - Primary Literacy Games

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Come prepared to play hands-on literacy games that are perfect for your differentiated literacy centers, whole class, or family backpack/literacy nights. Games integrate the use of easily found manipulatives including literacy dice, letter tiles, word decks, and will help your students practice the following concepts: learning the alphabet and its' sounds, word families/rhyme, spelling simple words, vocabulary development and more. You will receive an extensive handout, ideas for journals and recording student work for assessment. Great ideas you can bring back to your class and use on Monday morning. The ideas shared would also help you plan a great literacy night for families, and are excellent for ESL and special education programs.
