Are you looking for engaging games and activities to help your students gain confidence and competence with key literacy concepts? Come prepared to play games that incorporate the use of literacy dice, letter tiles, word decks and more. Concepts covered include: vocabulary development, spelling simple to multi-syllable words, word patterns and families, cloze activities, parts of speech, word play with all kinds of words, and more. This workshop is great for regular, ESL, and special ed/resource room teachers. Ideas are easy to differentiate for all learners and can be used both in literacy centers and whole class settings. Gameboards and student samples will be shared throughout. Come prepared to play!
