Roopa Belur received her Bachelors and Masters in Psychology. Roopa worked in Birmingham, Alabama under the guidance of Dr. Rebecca Dossett, a registered psychologist. During this time, her work focused on school consultations, psychological testing/assessments, diagnosis, life skills training for people on the Autism Spectrum and other Developmental Disabilities. Roopa moved to Edmonton, Alberta in 2010 and worked with Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital as a Psychometrist and Research Coordinator at the Autism Research Center. Currently, she works as the Director of Behavior Supports at Entrust Disability Services. She primarily focuses on individualizing strategies, altering environments, modification of staff’s approach and capitalizing on client’s interests as opposed to working on activities the clients find challenging to participate in on a day to day basis. Roopa has also presented on Autism and practical behavior strategies at various workshops and conferences.
