Rory LaRocque-Walker

Originally from Drayton Valley, AB. In 2007 received a Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of Alberta. First taught the 2007-2008 school year at Win Ferguson Elementary School in Fort Saskatchewan. Chose to not return for a teaching position and worked next in the recruitment department for Sun Distribution. In 2010 returned to teaching. Taught French as a Second Language amongst other subjects at Meyokumin School in the Mainstream and Cogito programs. In 2011 began working with Entrust Disability Services and started a program now known as Framework For Life. Now acts as Director of that program which supports more than 100 people with Developmental Disabilities, many of whom have an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis. Passionate about protecting the Rights of people with developmental disabilities, facilitating their belonging in our society and providing customized and individualized programming that respects independence as a life long journey that should never cease.
